AIBass Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-26

AIBass is a music player for local playback of audio files stored on the user's device. The main playback, equalizer, playlists, favorites, sleep timer, language settings, theme settings and other player settings work on the device.

1. Information the App Accesses or Stores Locally

AIBass does not require a user account and does not upload the user's local music files to developer-owned servers.

To provide music playback and library features, the app may access local audio files and related metadata available through Android media storage, such as file name, title, artist, album, duration, artwork and file location on the device.

The app may store local app data on the device, including playlists, favorites, playback queue data, custom song order, equalizer settings, playback settings, sleep timer settings, theme settings, language settings, subscription status cache and other preferences needed for the player to work.

Local music files remain controlled by the user. AIBass does not claim ownership of the user's local audio files.

2. Usage and Diagnostics

AIBass includes an optional setting called "Usage and diagnostics". This setting may be enabled by default and can be turned off in the app settings or in the bug report screen where available.

When usage and diagnostics are enabled, the app may use Firebase services to collect app diagnostics and usage information, including app interactions, app version, device and operating system information, performance information, crash reports, non-fatal error reports and technical logs needed to identify and fix problems.

Firebase Analytics may be used to understand how app features are used and to improve the app. Firebase Crashlytics may be used to collect crash and error reports. Firebase Performance Monitoring may be used to measure app performance. Firebase Remote Config may be used to download configuration values, such as whether certain app warnings or experimental features are enabled.

If usage and diagnostics are turned off, the app disables collection for Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring where supported by the SDK and app configuration. Firebase Remote Config may still be used to fetch basic app configuration values that do not require the user to create an account.

3. Bug Reports and Support Requests

The app may allow the user to create a bug report. A bug report may include information entered by the user, app version, Android version, device model, selected diagnostic logs and other technical details needed to investigate the issue.

The user may also manually attach files, screenshots, images or videos to a support message using Android system selection or sharing tools. These attachments are selected by the user and are sent only when the user chooses to send the support message through an external email or sharing app.

External email, sharing or support apps process the shared information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Android Permissions

Depending on the Android version and device, AIBass may request permissions required for normal player operation.

READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE may be used to find and play local audio files stored on the device. READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is used only on older Android versions where it is required.

FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK may be used to keep music playback active in the background and to show media playback controls in Android notifications.

MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS may be used for audio output, equalizer and playback-related audio control.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS may be used on supported Android versions to show playback notifications, media controls and other app notifications.

INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE may be used by advertising, Firebase services, billing, support links or related SDK services.

AD_ID may be used by advertising SDKs if Advertising ID is available on the device and allowed by the user and Google Play services.

BILLING may be used to purchase and verify the optional “Remove ads” subscription through Google Play.

AIBass does not request broad access to the user's photo or video library for music playback.

5. Advertising and Consent

AIBass may contain advertising. The app uses Start.io advertising technology to load, show, measure and protect ads.

Start.io and its advertising partners may process data needed for advertising, including device identifiers, Advertising ID when available, IP address, app interactions, approximate location derived from network or IP information, diagnostics and other technical data.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the user's region, device settings, consent status and advertising platform requirements.

In regions where consent is required, the user may be shown a consent request before personalized advertising is used. The availability and content of the consent request may depend on the user's region and applicable requirements.

The user can manage advertising-related choices through device settings, Google settings or other privacy controls provided by the operating system and advertising services.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

AIBass may offer an optional subscription that disables advertising blocks while the subscription is active.

Payments and subscription management are processed by Google Play. AIBass does not receive or store the user's full payment card number, bank card details or bank account information.

The app may receive purchase status information from Google Play Billing to verify whether the subscription is active and to enable or disable advertising-related features accordingly.

7. Third-Party Services

AIBass may use third-party services and SDKs to provide app functionality, advertising, diagnostics, performance monitoring, remote configuration, purchases and platform services.

Third-party services used by the app may include:

These third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable legal requirements.

8. Data Sharing

AIBass does not sell the user's personal data.

Some data may be processed by third-party service providers used in the app, including advertising, billing, Firebase and platform services. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable requirements.

The user may also choose to share information manually, for example by using the Android system share function, by attaching files to a bug report, or by contacting support through an email app. In that case, the selected external app or service processes the shared data under its own terms and privacy policy.

9. Data Storage and Deletion

AIBass stores app settings, playlists, favorites, playback preferences and local library-related data on the user's device.

The user can delete local app data through Android app settings, by clearing the app data, or by uninstalling the app.

Local music files are controlled by the user and are not intentionally deleted by AIBass unless the user uses a system or app function that explicitly removes files.

Data processed by third-party services may be retained according to the retention rules of those services and applicable legal requirements.

10. What the App Does Not Do

AIBass does not provide a music catalog, does not distribute music content and does not claim ownership of the user's local audio files.

AIBass does not intentionally upload the user's local music library to developer-owned servers and does not use cloud synchronization for the user's music files.

AIBass does not require registration, does not require a user account and does not request access to contacts, messages, call logs or precise GPS location.

11. Children's Privacy

AIBass is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the app, they can contact us using the email address below.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app functionality, data practices, advertising integrations, Firebase integrations, billing features or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page.
